No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Castellbisbal (4-3) won against on the road 10th ranked Mataro (2-5) 77-73 on Saturday. They outrebounded Mataro 34-22 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Eric Manes (194-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and guard Roger Guardia (193-85, college: CS Fullerton) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Castellbisbal players scored in double figures. David Romero (-90) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Xavier Espiga scored 11 points. Mataro's coach Charly Giralt tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Castellbisbal moved-up to fifth place in Group C-A, which they share with Cornella and Barna. Mataro lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost.
