The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Real Madrid as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Real Madrid smashed 17th ranked La ICL Manresa at home 96-70. The game was mostly controlled by Real Madrid. La ICL Manresa managed to win second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
