The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Real Madrid as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Real Madrid smashed 17th ranked La ICL Manresa at home 96-70. The game was mostly controlled by Real Madrid. La ICL Manresa managed to win second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Real Madrid looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. International Sergio Llull (190-87) fired 24 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Slovenian point guard Luka Doncic (201-99) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. Four Real Madrid players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. La ICL Manresa lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. La ICL Manresa will play next round against Unicaja Malaga trying to get back on the winning streak.
