Regular Season Round 10: Barbera - Igualada 70-60

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Barbera (6-3) won against 11th ranked Igualada (2-7) in Barcelona 70-60 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Barbera. Igualada was better in third quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Barbera won last quarter 21-13. It was a very good performance for center Hernan Olaguibe (203-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Sergio Perez (189-85) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Barbera players scored in double figures. Center Eduard Tejero (195-92) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and center Micky Garcia (206-85, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Igualada. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Barbera moved-up to fourth place in Group C-B, which they share with Mollet. Loser Igualada keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Barbera will face Andorra II (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Igualada will play against the league's leader Pardinyes-L. and hope to win that game.
