There was a small surprise when seventeenth ranked Cocinas.com (3-10) won against on the road 14th ranked Magia Huesca (4-9) 84-75 on Friday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-75. Cocinas.com made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for guard Alberto Ruiz de Galarreta (198-83) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Power forward Adrian Laso (205-90) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Laso is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Alberto Fontet (213-86) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Mikel Motos (193-93, college: Sammic ISB, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points in the effort for Magia Huesca. Four Cocinas.com and five Magia Huesca players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Cocinas.com moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Marin. Loser Magia Huesca keeps the fourteenth position with nine games lost. Cocinas.com will face higher ranked Burgos (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
