Not a big story in a game in Las Palmas where 16th ranked Joventut (4-11) was defeated by eighth ranked Gran Canaria (9-6) 98-80 on Friday. The game without a history. Gran Canaria led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Joventut's 40. The best player for the winners was Latvian center Anzejs Pasecniks (216-95, college: VEF skola) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. FYR Macedonian-American point guard Bo McCalebb (178-85, college: New Orleans) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Four Gran Canaria players scored in double figures.
