Important game to mention about took place in Albacete. Thirteenth ranked Albacete (5-10) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 16th ranked Zamorano (4-11) 92-91 on Friday evening. The hosts were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 20-18 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American guard Kris Davis (188-93, college: SIU Edwardsville) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Jeffrey Short (193-92, college: Norfolk St.) helped adding 19 points. The best for the losing side was Bahamas guard Dynile Forbes (190-87, college: La-Monroe) with 30 points and American guard Chris Hansen (193-93, college: Idaho St.) scored 20 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Albacete moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Tarragona and Gandia. Zamorano lost third consecutive game. Zamorano at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. They share it with L'Hospitalet. Albacete will play against higher ranked Moron (#7) in MorĂ³n de la Frontera in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zamorano will play on the road against Cambados (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
