Top ranked Real Canoe (14-3) recorded its third loss in Villaviciosa on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked Casvi (12-5) 77-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Real Canoe. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in Group B. Jose Miguel Perez (202-96) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds for the winners and guard Fernando Sierra (187-95) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Forward Ignacio Fort (200-83) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Oscar Herrero (182-87) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Real Canoe's coach Miguel Angel Aranzabal rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Casvi. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Real Madrid II and La Roda. Real Canoe at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Casvi will meet Rivas (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Real Canoe will play against Quintanar (#8) and hope to secure a win.
