Regular Season Round 19: AEC Collblanc - Barna 71-68

No shocking result in a game in L´Hospitalet where fourth ranked AEC Collblanc (10-5) edged 10th ranked Barna (6-10) 71-68 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 18-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. AEC Collblanc shot 27 for 39 from the free-throw line, while Barna only scored ten points from the stripe. Barna was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for power forward Roger Juan (200-82) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. Antoni Figuerola (-94) helped adding 16 points and 5 steals. At the losing side guard Bartu Martinez (187-91) responded with 21 points and 4 assists and point guard Marc Rabaseda (182-93) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. AEC Collblanc maintains fourth place in Group C-A with 10-5 record. Barna lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. AEC Collblanc will face Castellbisbal (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Barna will play against the league's leader Calvia and hope to win that game.
