Regular Season Round 19: Naron - Rosalia 74-63

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Rosalia (6-10) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Naron (10-6) 74-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Naron. Rosalia was better in fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American forward Matt Stoll (201-92, college: Ferris St., agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Rob Brandenberg (188-92, college: VCU) helped adding 19 points and 4 steals. At the losing side guard Anton Bouzan (188-95) responded with 16 points and Luis Lopez (189-96) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Rosalia's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Naron maintains sixth place in Group A-B with 10-6 record. Loser Rosalia dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Naron will face league's second-placed Leon on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rosalia will play against Betanzos (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
