Regular Season Round 19: Vigo VGO - Innova Chef 63-75

Very expected game when 13th ranked Vigo VGO (4-12) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Innova Chef (7-9) 75-63 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-63. Innova Chef forced 20 Vigo VGO turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Dionte Adams (201-94, college: Hampton) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Adams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American Johnathan Murphy (199-89, college: Columbus St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and Victor Alonso (196-94) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Innova Chef maintains ninth place in Group A-B with 7-9 record. Newly promoted Vigo VGO keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Innova Chef will face Gijon (#12) at home in the next round. Vigo VGO will play against Estudiantes L. in Lugo and hope to win that game.
