Regular Season Round 21: Burgos - Venta de Banos 72-66

Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Venta de Banos (2-15) lost on the road to eighth ranked Burgos (8-10) 72-66 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-17. But Venta de Banos won second period 14-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Burgos dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Venta de Banos' 22. Burgos forced 23 Venta de Banos turnovers. Venta de Banos was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for British guard Jules Akodo (188-96) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 4 assists.
