Regular Season Round 24: Cazorla - Yosiquese 98-88

Rather expected game when 3rd ranked Yosiquese (6-6) was defeated on the road by first ranked Cazorla (11-1) 98-88 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 33-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Cazorla forced 19 Yosiquese turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Cazorla especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Michael Crane (190-91, college: E.Oregon) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Portuguese forward Angel Vazquez (190-95) who recorded 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Brazilian Rodrigo Goncalves (200-87) added 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Five Cazorla and four Yosiquese players scored in double figures. Cazorla have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group D Clasif with 11-1 record. Newly promoted Yosiquese keeps the third place with six games lost. Cazorla will face Huelva (#5) on the road in the next round. Yosiquese will play against the league's second-placed CAM E.Soler and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
