Regular Season Round 32: Marin - Prat 76-84

Rather predictable result when fourteenth ranked CB Prat (12-20) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Marin (7-25) 84-76 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-76. CB Prat outrebounded Marin 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Xabier Lopez (198-97) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Xavier Forcada (194-88) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. American forward Jason Cain (208-85, college: Virginia) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Tim Derksen (191-94, college: USF) scored 18 points. Five CB Prat and four Marin players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Prat maintains fourteenth position with 12-20 record, which they share with FC Barcelona II. Marin lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 25 lost games. CB Prat will face higher ranked Palma (#9) in S'Arenal in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Marin will play on the road against Castello (#12) in Castellon and hope to win that game.
