No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Valle de Egues (11-14) beat on the road 11th ranked Univ.Burgos (8-17) 88-81 on Saturday. Univ.Burgos was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-14 charge of Valle de Egues, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Javier Valderrey who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Ivorian power forward Kouassi Konan (204-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Valle de Egues players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Valle de Egues maintains eighth position in Group A-A with 11-14 record, which they share with Muro Basquet and Burgos. Univ.Burgos at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh place with 17 games lost. Valle de Egues will face league's second-placed Cantbasket in Santander in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Univ.Burgos will play on the road against Santurtzi (#3) and hope to win that game.
