An interesting game took place in Badalona where higher ranked RETAbet BB (12-15) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Joventut (10-19) 82-55 on Sunday. The game without a history. Joventut led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. International swingman Alberto Abalde (202-95) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Polish forward Tomasz Gielo (205-93, college: Mississippi) chipped in 11 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Belgian-Congolese point guard Jonathan Tabu (189-85) with 14 points and 5 assists and Bosnian-Serbian forward Dejan Todorovic (197-94) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Joventut moved-up to thirteenth place. RETAbet BB at the other side keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost. Joventut are looking forward to face higher ranked Baskonia (#4) in Vitoria in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. RETAbet BB will play at home against Andorra (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
