Regular Season Round 2: Avila - La Roda 60-65

Very important is a home loss of Fontedoso Carrefour (1-1) against La Roda (1-1) on Saturday night. Host Fontedoso Carrefour was defeated by La Roda in a tough game in Avila 60-65. It looked good early as Fontedoso Carrefour took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then La Roda had a 23-17 second period charge getting the lead and Fontedoso Carrefour was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-65. Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) notched 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Arturo Fernandez (182-90) supported him with 12 points. Even 13 points and 8 rebounds by forward Jon Aramburu (204-92, agency: Duran International) did not help to save the game for Fontedoso Carrefour. Venezuelan point guard Harold Cazorla (175-91, agency: Duran International) added 8 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. La Roda's next round opponent will be Navarra (#11) in Pamplona where they are favorite.
