Regular Season Round 4: Valladolid - Sammic ISB 62-73

Rather predictable result in Valladolid where eighth ranked Sammic ISB (3-1) defeated 10th ranked Blancos de Rueda (1-2) 73-62 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-62. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Joe De-Ciman (198-94, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and Bosnian Mirza Bulic (207-92) who added 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Henri Wade-Chatman (188-92, college: Edinboro) responded with 15 points and 4 assists and center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Sammic ISB moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Blancos de Rueda at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with two games lost. Sammic ISB will face CB Prat (#6) at home in the next round. Blancos de Rueda will play against Leyma Basquet (#11) in Coruna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
