Regular Season Round 19: Pielagos - Valladolid Univ. 103-86

No shocking result in a game in Renedo de Pielagos where fourth ranked Pielagos (12-4) won against 8th ranked Valladolid Univ. (7-9) 103-86 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American guard Ron Lee (188, college: Cent.Methodist) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Canadian forward Pape Seck (208, college: Simon Fraser) helped adding 23 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Alvaro Encinas (202-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and forward Pedro Gonzalez (195-89) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Valladolid Univ.'s coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Pielagos moved-up to third place in Group A-A, which they share with Santurtzi. Loser Valladolid Univ. keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Pielagos will face league's second-placed Zornotza in Amorebieta-Echano in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Valladolid Univ. will play at home against Mondragon (#14) and hope to win that game.
