Regular Season Round 21: Santurtzi - Ardoi 84-82

Very expected game when 10th ranked Ardoi (6-12) was edged on the road by fifth ranked Santurtzi (13-5) 84-82 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a good game for forward Juan Torres (196-92) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Mikel Sainz (195-95) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Santurtzi players scored in double figures. Naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) answered with 30 points and 8 rebounds and center Andres Zabaleta (200-94) added 22 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Ardoi. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Santurtzi moved-up to third place in Group A-A. Loser Ardoi dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Santurtzi will face league's leader Estela in Santander in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ardoi will play at home against Burgos (#6) and hope to win that game.
