Regular Season Round 23: Palma II - Igualada 73-81

An interesting game was played in S'Arenal where Igualada (#3) beat host Palma II (#4) 81-73 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Palma II. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 27-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for Eduard Burges (190-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Adria Gual (185-93) helped adding 15 points. Guard Alberto Garcia (192-87) responded with 19 points and guard Miguel Corbacho (192-79) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Igualada. They moved-up to second place in Group C-B, which they share with Pardinyes-L. Loser Palma II keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Valls Nutrion and Mollet. Igualada will meet Cornella (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Palma II will play against Salt and hope to secure a win.
