Regular Season Round 21: La Roda - Aquimisa LZ 103-90

LEB Silver top team - La Roda (16-5) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Zamorano (4-17) 103-90. The game was mostly controlled by La Roda. Zamorano managed to win second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. La Roda dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Zamorano's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Carlos Noguerol (186-93) contributed with 15 points and 9 assists for the winners. Forward Adrian Mendez (195-93) answered with 19 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and point guard Javier Hernandez (182-92) added 19 points in the effort for Zamorano. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted La Roda maintains first place with 16-5 record, which they share with Granada. Zamorano at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Martorell. La Roda is looking forward to face league's second-placed CB Granada on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zamorano will play against Myrtia (#10) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
