Regular Season Round 24: Barbera - Mataro Parc Boet 76-67

There was an upset when higher ranked Mataro Parc Boet (9-9) lost to thirteenth ranked Barbera (6-12) in Barcelona 67-76 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 9 points. It was a good game for center Hernan Olaguibe (203-86) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Center Luis Lopez (205-95) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Barbera's coach David Lizano used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Eric Manes (194-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Jesus Corella added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Mataro Parc Boet. Five Barbera and four Mataro Parc Boet players scored in double figures. Barbera moved-up to eleventh place in Group C-A, which they share with Cantaires Tortosa. Newly promoted Mataro Parc Boet dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Barbera will face league's second-placed Menorca in Mahon in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
