Regular Season Round 25: Albacete - Moron 72-65

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Moron (13-13) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Albacete (16-9) 72-65. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Moron won third quarter 30-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Javier Marin (194-86) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Garret Covington (196-94, college: W.Illinois, agency: Two Points) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Forward Jose Jimenez (197-96) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Ukrainian center Volodymyr Orlov (208-95) added 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Moron. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Albacete maintains fourth place with 16-9 record. Moron at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Albacete's next round opponent will be Plasencia (#14) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Moron will play against Real Canoe (#11) and hope to win that game.
