The game without a history. Azuqueca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Azuqueca outrebounded Valencia-2 45-31 including a 39-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Venezuelan forward Luis Valera (202-88, college: UTRGV) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Julian Lewis (196, college: Lewis) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Azuqueca players scored in double figures. Swingman Josep Puerto (199-99) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and Luis Ferrando (185-96, college: Mount Olive) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Valencia-2. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
