The biggest surprise took place in Sevilla where hostSevilla (5-0) beat league's leader Picken Claret (4-1) 65-61 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Picken Claret. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Picken Claret 42-29 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Ines Rios who scored 6 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Marta Garcia (190-2002, college: FAU) chipped in 13 points. Four Sevilla players scored in double figures. Forward Paula Garcia (-2002) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and Sofia Afonso added 12 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sevilla have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Logrono. Picken Claret at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Cortegada and Leon. They were replaced at the leadership position by Sevilla. Picken Claret will play next round against Almeda trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sevilla will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked GMASB in Granada.
