A very close game took place in Paterna between Paterna and Arxil. Eleventh ranked Paterna (3-3) got a very close home victory over 15th ranked Arxil (1-7). Paterna managed to escape with a 2-point win 71-69 on Sunday evening. The winners were led by power forward Lorena Segura (182-2000) who scored that evening 20 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Clara Che (172-1997, college: Providence) supported her with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by center Nerea Liste (-2003) did not help to save the game for Arxil. American power forward Heather Forster (188-1996, college: Albany) added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Four Arxil players scored in double figures. Paterna have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place. Arxil lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Paterna will meet ISB (#13) in the next round. Arxil will play against Estepona and hope to win that game.
