Regular Season Round 7: Talavera - Aridane 79-77

There was an upset when 4th placed Aridane (4-3) was edged on the road by tenth ranked Talavera (3-4) 79-77 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for guard Jon Larrea (192-2005) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Adrian Vasquez (200-2001) accounted for 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Talavera's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Pablo Martinez (185-1997) came up with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Argentinian guard Gianluca Pellegrino (190-1993) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Aridane in the defeat. Talavera moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 13 other teams. Loser Aridane keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with 16 other teams. Talavera will meet Socuellamos (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Aridane will play against Alcala (#8) and hope to secure a win.
