Regular Season Round 17: Ensino - Araski 66-57

There was a minor upset in Lugo where 12th ranked Araski (5-12) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Ensino (5-12) 66-57 on Saturday. American guard Laura Howard (178-1995, college: USF) stepped up and scored 11 points for the winners and Haitian swingman Jessica Fequiere (180-1993, college: Albany) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Ensino players scored in double figures. Belgian-DR Congolese forward Bethy Mununga (183-1997, college: S.Florida, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and Canadian guard Samantha Hill (177-1994, college: Virginia Tech) scored 21 points. Ensino moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with defeated Araski. Ensino will meet higher ranked Jairis (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Araski will play against Joventut (#8) and hope to secure a win.
