An interesting game forEstepona (15-3) which played road game in Zamora against 4th ranked Zamora (14-6). Second ranked Estepona managed to get a 5-point victory 75-70 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Zamora. American power forward Ruth Sherrill (188-1994, college: Temple) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Marina Gea (172-2001) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Estepona players scored in double figures. German Sarah Polleros (185-2002) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and American Amaya Scott (185-1999, college: GMU, agency: LBM Management) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Zamora. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Estepona have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-3 record having just two points less than leader Leganes. Zamora at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Estepona are looking forward to face Paterna (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Zamora will play against Melilla (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
