There was no surprise when 13th rankedAraski (7-16) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Zaragoza (15-8) 85-60 on Sunday. Zaragoza looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for international guard Mariona Ortiz (183-1992) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 assists and 5 steals. The former international guard Helena Pueyo (183-2001, college: Arizona) helped adding 18 points and 5 assists. Five Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Zaragoza's coach Carlos Cantero felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Belgian forward Maxuella Lisowa-Mbaka (178-2001) responded with 14 points and Croatian Iva Slonjsak (183-1997, agency: LBM Management) scored 13 points. Zaragoza maintains fourth place with 15-8 record. Loser Araski dropped to the fourteenth position with 16 games lost.
