No shocking result in a game in San Cristobal where third ranked Alcorcon (16-5) won against 10th ranked Tenerife (11-19) 66-55 on Saturday. Claudia Del Amo (-2005) fired 15 points and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Gabriela Escorial chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Andrea Rodriguez (188-1999) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian forward Catherine Traer (185, college: Carleton) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Tenerife's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Alcorcon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-5 record having four points less than leader Logrono. Loser Tenerife dropped to the seventh place with 19 games lost. Alcorcon will meet at home Lleida (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Tenerife will play against Terralfas and hope to secure a win.
