Not a big story in a game in Pontevedra where 16th ranked Arxil (1-24) was defeated by sixth ranked Melilla (15-9) 82-74 on Saturday. Melilla made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Point guard Clara Caceres (167-1997) stepped up and scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Russian power forward Maria Davydova (190-1993, college: FIU) chipped in 16 points. At the losing side center Nerea Liste (-2003) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Portuguese point guard Raquel Laneiro (171-2000) scored 18 points. Melilla maintains sixth place with 15-9 record. Arxil lost their twenty second game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 24 lost games.
