The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedLogrono (21-3) in Barcelona on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by eleventh ranked Boet Mataro (10-14) 62-53 . It was a good game for forward Anna Gamarra (190-2001, college: Ball St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Emma Barcelo (-1996) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Boet Mataro players scored in double figures. Boet Mataro's coach Enric Cervera used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Emma Florez (183-2001, college: Otero JC) replied with 10 points and 9 rebounds and center Maria Angulo (185-2002) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Logrono. Boet Mataro moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Logrono at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Segle XXI. Boet Mataro is looking forward to face Tordera (#14) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Logrono will play against GEIG (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
