There was a surprise result when fourteenth rankedAraski (10-20) defeated higher ranked Cadi La Seu (12-18) in Vitoria-Gasteiz 85-68 on Saturday. Araski made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Cadi La Seu turnovers. Guard Marta Hermida (180-1997, college: Boise St.) notched 29 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and Belgian-DR Congolese forward Bethy Mununga (183-1997, college: S.Florida, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 10 points and 5 rebounds by swingman Ainhoa Lacorzana (179-2000) did not help to save the game for Cadi La Seu . Forward Julia Soler (178-2001) added 12 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cadi La Seu's coach Isaac Fernandez tested ten players seeing no chance for a win.
