The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-63. Valencia made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Valencia outrebounded Zaragoza 34-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. Canadian center Kayla Alexander (193-1991, college: Syracuse) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international center Raquel Carrera (188-2001) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest.
