There was a small surprise when ninth rankedManresa (6-8) won against at home 6th ranked Sanfer (8-6) 73-57 on Saturday. Manresa forced 23 Sanfer turnovers. Strangely Sanfer outrebounded Manresa 37-22 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Desiree Zafra who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Iona Garcia chipped in 19 points. Manresa's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Cristina Ugochukwu produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Lorena Lorenzo added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Sanfer players scored in double figures. Manresa maintains ninth position with 6-8 record, which they share with Plasencia. Loser Sanfer dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with UE Mataro.
