The game had a very big importance for second-rankedCoruna as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (GDKO Bizkaia) loss. Coruna defeated 10th ranked Boet Mataro at home 76-71 . Coruna made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Sofia Arcos (-2002) who led her team to a victory with 9 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian guard Nevena Dimitrijevic (160-2000, college: SFC) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Joana Navarro answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and Carla Perez (-1991) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Boet Mataro. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Coruna have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Boet Mataro lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Gijon.
