Everything went according to plan when third rankedValencia (16-4) outplayed at home 9th ranked Joventut (8-13) 83-57 on Sunday. Valencia forced 21 Joventut turnovers and outrebounded them 42-27 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Valencia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International center Raquel Carrera (188-2001) nailed 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Leticia Romero (173-1995, college: FSU) accounted for 9 points and 4 assists. American guard Laura Howard (178-1995, college: USF) came up with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Mali Alima Dembele (186-2000) added 13 points respectively for Joventut in the defeat.
