Important game to mention about took place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Eighth rankedJoventut (5-16) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Canarias (11-10) 78-76 on Friday evening. Joventut U22 forced 19 Canarias U22 turnovers. Strangely Canarias U22 outrebounded Joventut U22 38-25 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Adrian Torres (203-2006, agency: BIG) notched 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Czech center Matej Buben (208-2009) supported him with 16 points. Four Joventut players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 5 rebounds by forward Xabier Lopez (198-2004) did not help to save the game for Canarias U22 . Mali center Mohamed Sangare (201-2007) added 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Joventut U22 maintains eighth position with 5-16 record. Canarias U22 at the other side keeps the sixth place with ten games lost.
