We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Boet Mataro (10-12) was edged by tenth ranked Ointxe! (10-12) in Barcelona 68-66 on Saturday. Ointxe! outrebounded Boet Mataro 38-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Izar Bedia notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and Angolan center Joana Antonio (190-1997) supported her with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Even 14 points by forward Queralt Coll (188-1994, college: Campbellsville) did not help to save the game for Boet Mataro. point guard Ariadna Magrina (164-1994) added 14 points for lost side. Ointxe! moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Boet Mataro. Ointxe! will meet at home higher ranked Manresa (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Boet Mataro will play against Leon and hope to secure a win.
