Coruna made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Menorca helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international center Ilimane Diop (210-1995) stepped up and scored 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and Italian-American guard Paul Jorgensen (188-1996, college: Butler) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American guard Spencer Littleson (193-1998, college: Toledo) responded with 15 points and point guard Adams Sola (193-2000) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
