Regular Season Round 8: Malbas - Eco Orebro 79-93

Bottom-ranked Eco Orebro managed to get a second victory, breaking the six-game losing streak. This time they won against eighth-ranked Malbas in Malmo 93-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Malbas. The game was mostly controlled by Eco Orebro. Malbas was better in third quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Eco Orebro players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American point guard Ahmad Starks (175-92, college: Illinois) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Bosnian Nebojsa Pavlovic (200-87, agency: HMS) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. American guard Darion Rackley (190-92, college: Jacksonville St.) replied with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Connor Miller (195-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 20 points in the effort for Malbas. Four Malbas players scored in double figures. Eco Orebro (2-7) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Umea. Newly promoted Malbas keep the eighth position with five games lost. Eco Orebro's next round opponent will be league's leader Sodertalje Kings at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
