Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Brahe Basket (1-11) was outplayed on the road by fourth ranked Trelleborg (9-6) 126-43 on Sunday. The game without a history. Trelleborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Brahe Basket to an opponent 21.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.5 percent accuracy of the winners and made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Brahe Basket only scored six points from the stripe. Trelleborg forced 31 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 55-31 including a 38-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Trelleborg looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Brahe Basket's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Trelleborg made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) who scored 26 points. Forward Kene Chukwuka (198-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Five Trelleborg players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Jordanian forward Ali Mamoun (185-83) who recorded 12 points and 8 rebounds and Vahe Gazigian added 7 points and 4 assists respectively. Trelleborg moved-up to second place in BEHS forts, which they share with Helsingborg. Brahe Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Trelleborg will have a break next round. Brahe Basket will play on the road against RIG Mark (#8) in Kinna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
