Regular Season Round 22: Sodertalje - Boras 96-79

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sodertalje. First ranked Sodertalje Kings faced 4th ranked Boras Basket. Host Sodertalje Kings (22-2) defeated guests from Boras (15-10) 96-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boras Basket. The game was mostly controlled by Sodertalje Kings. Boras Basket was better in third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sodertalje Kings shot 61.0 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Sodertalje Kings players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Skyler Bowlin (190-89, college: Missouri So.) contributed with 19 points and 8 assists for the winners. The former international Christian Maraker (207-82, college: Pacific) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Michael Palm (210-79, college: W.Washington) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Boras Basket. Five Sodertalje Kings and four Boras Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sodertalje Kings have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-2 record. Boras Basket at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Sodertalje Kings will play against league's second-placed Norrkoping Dolphins in Norrkoping in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Boras Basket will play on the road against Nassjo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
