An interesting game for Sodertalje Kings (24-2) which hosted in Sodertalje second-ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (19-8). First ranked Sodertalje Kings managed to get a 11-point victory 77-66. Norrkoping Dolphins were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Sodertalje Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Norrkoping Dolphins' 30. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Aaron Anderson (201-91, college: Kennesaw St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Croatian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency) accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side. Four Sodertalje Kings players scored in double figures. Sodertalje Kings' coach Vedran Bosnic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) came up with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Josh Hairston (203-92, college: Duke) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Norrkoping Dolphins in the defeat. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Sodertalje Kings. Defending champion maintains first place with 24-2 record. Loser Norrkoping Dolphins dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Sodertalje Kings will meet Eco Orebro (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against Nassjo (#6) and hope to secure a win.
