Regular Season Round 23: Boras - LF Basket 95-98

Important game to mention about took place in Boras. Third ranked LF Basket (20-9) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Boras Basket (16-11) 98-95 on Saturday evening. Boras Basket was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 31-23 charge of LF Basket, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Boras Basket outrebounded LF Basket 49-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Boras Basket's players. It was a great evening for Croatian guard Toni Prostran (182-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 assists. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) helped adding 26 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. Five LF Basket players scored in double figures. The former international Christian Maraker (207-82, college: Pacific) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and Croatian forward Toni Vitali (203-91) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Boras Basket's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. LF Basket have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Boras Basket at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. LF Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Boras Basket will play on the road against Umea (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
