Second Stage Round 8: KFUM Blackeberg - Orongo 71-88

Orongo Dragons' road win over 5th ranked KFUM Blackeberg 88-71 was very exciting. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 45-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Orongo Dragons made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 KFUM Blackeberg turnovers and outrebounded them 39-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. Orongo Dragons looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Oscar Jernberg (190-94) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds and forward William Skagius (198-96) who added 21 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five Orongo Dragons players scored in double figures. Orongo Dragons' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Naturalized American forward Gerald Riley (198-81, college: Georgetown) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Brayan Angulo (-94) scored 21 points. Orongo Dragons (6-10) moved-up to fourth place in BEHN forts. KFUM Blackeberg lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Orongo Dragons will face BG Lulea (#5) at home in the next round. KFUM Blackeberg will play against Jarfalla and hope to win that game.
