Second Stage Round 14: Ostersund - Jarfalla 82-77

An interesting game for Ostersund (14-6) which hosted in Ostersund one of their biggest challengers Jarfalla (9-9). Second ranked Ostersund managed to get a 5-point victory 82-77. Jarfalla was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 25-15 third quarter run of Ostersund. They outrebounded Jarfalla 46-28 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Olle Lundqvist (199-99) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Daniel Johansson (198-98) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Ostersund's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Paul Johnson responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Joeffrey Masabe Paulsson (186-90) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Five Jarfalla players scored in double figures. Ostersund have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Ostersund maintains second position with 14-6 record having just seven point less than leader Trelleborg. Jarfalla at the other side dropped to the third place with nine games lost. Ostersund will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Jarfalla will play on the road against the league's leader Alvik Basket in Bromma and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
