Regular Season Round 9: Jamtland - Sodertalje 85-59

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Sodertalje Kings (5-3) against fourth ranked KFUM Jamtland (5-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Sodertalje Kings were crushed by KFUM Jamtland in Ostersund 85-59. KFUM Jamtland players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Sodertalje Kings' players. American forward William Walker (197-87, college: Bethel, IN) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Finnish point guard Antto Nikkarinen (185-91, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Walker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was the former international Martin Pahlmblad (195-86) with 25 points and 5 assists and international Adam Ramstedt (208-95) scored 8 points and 16 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KFUM Jamtland moved-up to third place, which they share with Sodertalje. Sodertalje Kings lost third consecutive game. KFUM Jamtland will play against Norrkoping Dolphins (#5) on the road in the next round. Sodertalje Kings will play against Nassjo and hope to get back on the winning track.
