Regular Season Round 16: Norrort - Nacka Basket 78-89

The game between Top Four teams took place in Taby. One of their biggest challengers host Taby Basket (9-5) lost to third ranked Nacka Basket (10-3) 89-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Taby Basket. The guests were ahead by 9 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 26-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by point guard Caleb Musie (175-95) who scored that evening 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Mustafa Dibba (186-95) supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Nacka Basket players scored in double figures. Nacka Basket's coach Paulo Nascimento used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds by guard David Niklasson (193-95, college: N.Platte CC) did not help to save the game for Taby Basket. Guard Carl Tjernberg (185-98) added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Nacka Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Nacka Basket maintains third position with 10-3 record having just three points less than leader KFUM Fryshuset. Taby Basket at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Nacka Basket will play against Jamtland II (#7) in Ostersund in the next round. Taby Basket will play on the road against BG Lulea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
